Who is Ron Albanese?
Ron is a parent, elementary school teacher, and family and children's entertainment personality! He regularly performs over 100 shows a year in schools, libraries, at festivals, and retail and corporate venues! He started in 1999, and is "just getting started!"
Ron handles EVERY aspect of his entertaining himself - from creating this very web site, and all marketing, to writing songs, filming and editing all videos, and more!
This complete hands-on approach has allowed him to super fine-tune his shows and approach, which according to Ron has been a journey of "just being more and more of myself!"
He explains further: "everything I do, from live music shows, DJ-ing and emceeing, to my YouTube channel, are imbued with 'Sunshine and Good Times!'" - that is more than a phrase to Ron, it's a way of life!

For the first time, Ron Albanese's Teachin' Tunes YouTube channel brings together aspects of his entertaining and teaching personas in an exciting, fresh way ... in fact, many wonder why he didn't do it sooner (teachers and parents have long requested it)!
What makes Ron Albanese’s Teachin’ Tunes unique - besides those high kicks and numerous Hawaiian shirts?
1. Ron has been an elementary school teacher for over 25 years - he knows what teachers teach, and what will engage the children in a positive manner. His songs and videos are also geared to encourage self-expression!
2. Ron has been a children’s and family entertainer for just as long as he has been teaching - he started in March of 1999! Regularly performing 100 shows a year at private events (he loves doing birthday parties!), schools, festivals, and corporate and retail venues has given him an unmatched pedigree in putting smiles on faces!
His comedy and music (which he mostly writes) is endearing, and he is known for his emcee work!
Educational Songs and Videos!
Ron's songs and videos are mini-movies (conceptualized, filmed, and edited by him!) often covering educational topics ... "Star Calypso!" is a danceable full-color lesson on the star shape, complete with confetti, and features some of Ron's recurring characters, the Sea Creatures!
Most clips are set at "Ron Beach" where Ron and his pals hang out, but occasionally there are visits to other places, such as "Rectangle City!,'* and even a different beach in Hawaii (for the "Hexagon Hula"*)!*Songs currently in development
There are also brain breaks, where students can cut loose and shake their sillies out - Ron's version of "Five Little Monkeys!" is an animated romp, and "Gettin' Ready to Go!" is a great reset for students to settle down to learning. Both are longtime staples in Ron's live shows - "they are road tested for effectiveness!"
Everything is presented with Ron’s patented friendly, sunny vibe - in fact, also included on the Teachin' Tunes channel is Ron's theme song and video, "Sunshine and Good Times!"

They have started calling him “Reading Ron”!
As a school teacher, entertainer, and public speaker, Ron reads books - but also performs them, bringing the characters to life, engaging students as they listen and read along. He changes up his voice and energy, all while sounding clear, and using proper diction and pronunciation.
It's a full performance!
Ron finds the rhythm of the text, the feel of the stories, and through his video editing, emphasizes illustrations - “I go where everyone’s eyes would go,” he says - and further creates an experience that encourages students to focus, use their imaginations, pick up books, and start reading - or maybe even start their own YouTube channel!
